Biblical Hebrew: A Text and Workbook

Biblical Hebrew: A Text and Workbook, Second Edition
by Bonnie Kittel, Vicki Hoffer, & Rebecca Wright

This is an excellent place to start if you want to learn biblical Hebrew, especially if you are studying on your own. The text takes an inductive approach that eases you into the Hebrew language. Both a strength and a drawback of this book is that the authors do not give you the full picture; they teach you only the necessities. The advantage of this approach is that it is less intimidating. The disadvantage is that it is a big jump from this text to intermediate and advanced studies of Hebrew grammar. Even so, I recommend this grammar without hesitation. more...
