Based on the products I have reviewed, I would make the following purchase recommendations:

For English-only Studies (non-Academic research). I recommend Accordance Library 6 Standard Level, Bible Atlas, and the Timeline module (available as a download). This collection will give you access to all the essential features of Accordance at a relatively reasonable, though admittedly still steep, price of $247.

For Pastors with Hebrew and Greek. I recommend Accordance Scholar's Collection Core Bundle with the NRSV, Spicq Theological Lexicon of the NT, and Jenni-Westermann Theological Lexicon of the OT; the Bible Reference CD-ROM with the Timeline module; and Bible Atlas. This collection gives you the essential texts and tools that you need to conduct careful research and exegesis within a high yet still reasonable price range. The price of this package is $526.

For Old Testament Scholars. I recommend Accordance Scholar's Collection Core Bundle with the NRSV, JPS, Jenni-Westermann Theological Lexicon, Dead Sea Scrolls Group, and Septuagint Studies Group (less Brenton's LXX); the Bible Reference CD-ROM with the Timeline module; and Bible Atlas. This collection gives you all the necessary primary texts and lexical aids to conduct intensive research in the Hebrew Bible and related literature. The price of this package is $906. If you have access to TLG through your institution, I strongly recommend the import TLG feature for an additional $49.

For New Testament Scholars. I recommend Accordance Scholar's Collection Core Bundle with the NRSV, JPS, Spicq Theological Lexicon, Wallace's Greek Grammar, Middle Liddell, Dead Sea Scrolls Group, and Septuagint Studies Group (less Brenton's LXX); the Bible Reference CD-ROM with the Timeline module; and Bible Atlas. This collection gives you all the necessary primary texts and lexical aids to conduct intensive research in the Greek New Testament and related literature. The price of this package is $996; if you don't use Hebrew, you can drop the Core Bundle (though make sure to add the GRAMCORD NA27 Greek NT and Louw & Nida Lexicon) and the Hebrew version of the Dead Sea Scrolls Sectarian Manuscripts, which will give a price of $876. If you have access to TLG through your institution, I strongly recommend the import TLG feature for an additional $49.

For Classicists. I recommend Accordance Scholar's Collection with the import TLG feature and Middle Liddell for a total price of $168. Wallace's Greek Grammar and the Biblical Greek Lexicons may also be worthwhile investments.
